Indian slip catching hall of shame

Recommended Posts

Dhawan and Kohli - two of our worst slip fielders are in standing in slips only

Pujara (1st), Kohli (2nd), Dhawan (3rd) and Rohit Sharma at gully

Worst slip catchers in history.Dunno.why Kohli has to stand in 2nd slip Rohit is far better.

The ball dropped short

It dint drop short as in pitched way ahead. It was inches away from his fingers. He was sitting back with 1 knee down and waiting for the ball to come. That is not what slip fielders do. Going forward or bending forward and he would have grabbed it. Wrong technique it was.

Apart from Gavaskar, none of the suoersport  commentators were of that view point.

Ashwin to Rabada, 1 run, India have dropped Rabada twice in two balls! He comes running down the track, Ashwin shortens the length and all Rabada's swat yields is a leading edge. That was Pandya's catch at point but Shami comes rushing across

Ashwin to Rabada, 2 runs, Kohli drops a chance at slip. Ashwin squares Rabada on back foot with the spin, the ball hits Kohli's fingers and scoots away. Needed to be more alert
