Really ? Many icf were pimping his bowling to extraordinary levels without ever seeing him bowl looool

that shankahr guy when he bowls will turn people in to haters lol

ps both batsman that bowl handy overs but just saying lol

India can use  very good no4, no 5  no 6 and no7. Pandya if he no 6 and this guy should have ability to hit ball from ball one and do it with some consistency.

Raina was just awesome in that spot for India. If he is anywhere close to Raina with both bat and ball India will have one good lower order player.

No. Most of them have seen him bowl in IPL. He used to be a part time bowler in u19 cricket and was an opening batsman but because we had Kishan and Pant opening, he batted in middle order in U19 WC, but his success with the ball in IPL turned him into a bowler in people's mind.

He is already better than Raina in bowling.....But if he is anywhere near Raina's batting ability, then we have very good prospect in hand

Like a part-time spinner (not like a main spinner).

Not sure if Rohit Sharma is aware that he is more a batsman, and less a bowler.

Thanks. I watched him in IPL , did well in those IPL matches. He bowled his full quota in most matches iirc. I think he is not a part timer .

Next time Rohit will retire on 125 to give him a bat

That's because he bowled a few tight overs in the IPL, especially during the power play.  One shouldn't extrapolate bowling ability based on IPL results - context matters a lot.  If you only look at IPL stats, Krunal Pandya will start looking like a legitimate bowling option for ODIs, which he is unlikely to be.

But Sundar is young, tall, and has ability with the bat and the ball - no harm in throwing him in there to see what he can do - letting the team evaluate him first-hand.   Let the kid grow and develop properly, no need to rush him.  I don't want to see him Ashton Agar-ed.

Maan , Where are you ?  Why you are saying without watching him bowl ? Please watch IPL  highlights of  this  year

Did very well even against some of the big hitters !

And no body here has said he is world class  bowleras. He is  restrictive and he is just 17-18.

That's we see potential as he not just a bowler .

Will improve - give  this and 1 more season .

But there is a principle difference between Agar and WS. Agar was a bowler, WS is a batsman.

All I'm saying is that he's too valuable with his promise, to risk rushing him unnecessarily.   At this stage, given he's so young, the ceiling is very high.  If he starts bowling flatter after giving up 65 runs in 10 overs in a meaningless ODI, I view that as a loss.  Let him aim for the stars, with bat and ball right now.
