  1. 1. Do you think BCCI should have any policies around WAGs on critical tours like SA, Eng, Aust?

    • It is a DISTRACTION - BCCI should have policy to ban WAGs during the tour (except for emergencies)
      10
    • Upto the players - they can bring WAGs (BCCI should pay the WAG tickets, hotels, exp as they do now)
      7
    • Upto the players - they can bring WAGs (Players must pay for it on their own)
      12
    • Other opinion - pls. describe in thread

Do you think it causes distraction and players better focus without them around for a critical tour?

Or its upto each player and they should be allowed do as they see fit?

Should BCCI pay for WAGs to accompany players? (As it stands today, I think it is BCCI paid expense for WAGs tickets, hotels, trip expenses).

What is your take? Pls. vote on poll as well. Thanks.

If it is a private job where you have some assignment overseas you are more likely to go alone. If you want you pay out of your pocket. But responsibility is on you to ensure their presence is not a distraction. Kohli is newly married. Obviously he would want to be with his wife. I think Kohli is good enough to separate the priorities. After all he played when his dad passed away.  You should take on the series with the best frame of mind. If the presence of wife helps you with that then so be it.  But if he skips practices and spends more time with girlfriends/wives then team management has to step in.

They spend too much time away from home.

How will they have kids if they continue staying apart?:p:

But I do wonder how they are not effected by the kids.  How are the other team members not effected by the kids ?

May be there should be restriction on kids or only easier tours should have family .

But starting a tour with families is pretty silly.

Newly married guys should have permission to take spouses as it is important to start the new innings well .

A good personal life will only help the player.

No WAGs in the 1st month of such tours. Need to focus and get used to the conditions with single minded devotion. After that WAGs can be allowed to prevent homesickness for the players, besides by then they would be in sync with the alien conditions.

Didn’t sometime back ex-coach Gary Kirsten recommend players to indulge in as much as possible nookie, shagging before matches

obviously Jadeja, Ishant and Dhoni read it wrong way

I have to say this is so immature on wives and girl friends thinks . Can believe some of you from 2018 . How on earth after all training and team meetings done does it matter if spend time alone in hotel room or spend time with family ffs

amazing how home players spend time with family and never effects perfkwmce apart from when playing away

The problem is when the wives start Nagging the players while on tour. It is a big distraction.

Bhai saahab don't blame their wives for failures, they are not invincible like Don bradman, ftb gonna struggle against quality attack in sa it was well predicted even before the series was started  when they were feasting on poor Lankans.
