T20 is his bread and butter. If he gives up that format, his value in IPL will crash. The selectors need to man up and tap him on the shoulder as he is not going to give up on his own.

Kya value? He has 2 years left max. It's not like the value will deteriorate if he retires from t20s now. He probably could even play for csk 50 years from now.

Besides Pant is a direct threat to his yaar dhawan . A flamboyant left hander who plays as an opener ( + can do well in middle order) .. hmmm too close for comfort.

 

Unfortunetely  Pant probably can't sing Punjabi songs in the team bus with him .
