Situation has changed a bit with new channels. But still the narrative is controlled by the same anti-BJP channels. This Lie Big, and apologize small has been seen greatly in the last few years. Take the recent farce and violence in Bengal elections, it wasn't even in the news in majority of channels as it didn't suit their agenda.

It is because of elections in Karnataka this has  hogged the limelight. Almost all newspapers on internet had this news of violence in west bengal. Majority of the media is pro BJP now.

Open threats of horse trading by jds, shameful! I say bjp should let these two parties form a coalition government and enjoy the show from opposition ,pretty sure the government wouldn't last long and bjp will get a strong mandate in the next election.

But knowing sha-mo's ruthlessness  ,they won't concede an inch to congress in the political diaspora

It’s the number if seats contested which decides the vote %.

Congress contested in 222 seats where as BJP in 170 seats... So BJP won more seats even after getting less % if votes.

Had BJP contested in 222 seats its vote % could’ve higher than Congress..

many don't understand this simple maths and khangress was wanking about this continuously yesterday .bjp didnt field strong candidates in zeats in order to make sure jds beat congress in one on one where bjp anyway didn't have much chances

BJP won’t take chance as big elections next year. Not much time left...

This time Congress was prepared. In fact Kumaraswamy dashed off to Singapore to discuss with Congress...

Congress had its points-men already in Begaluru. Now Amit Shah is dashing off is emissaries to Bengaluru but it might be already late.

BJP was too cocky.

Don't worry dada ,bjp will form the government. Shamo are the masters in dealing with such situations ,they are baap of congress

There is little difference between these parties in Karnataka , though I cant stand siddhu but overall all are pretty useless . Though having the same party ruling the state as centre is always better .

Only thing matters is BJPs numbers , which shows they are heading towards landslide win in 2019 . They have another year left , time to go little populistic  , like the fuel prices etc .

Don’t think it will happen. BJP is in kill mode. They would want to break JDS before next elections.

JDS is a natural enemy of congress and they have a track record of breaking from coalition. Of course BJP is in kill mode but horse trading is shooting themselves in their foot.

There is no long term or short term. Everything is about 2019LS. BJP will correctly want to be in power there.

And why do people assume this alliance wont last? This alliance is based on selfish reasons, pure nepotism, HDK will be happy as long as he is CM, while Congress will play junior partner just to stop BJP. Its dynastic politics at its best where both parties came together  for each of their son's future. The state Karnataka will lose, while these dynasts win.

I don't think the revanna faction in jdu and lingayat faction in congress would agree. Congress making hdk as cm would have created internal ruffles within them by now.

Wrong, BJP contested all seats. The difference is BJP themselves have presence in 180 odd seats only. Mysore region in particular BJP lacks any presence. So BJP has concentrated vote bank geographically while Congress is more spread out. Thus, BJP has a greater vote share than Congress in many regions of Karnataka. But due to Mysore region, their average and final vote share goes out. And it was expected and seen in 2008 as well.

BJP has won 11 seats in Mysore region compared to 5 in 2013. They are present everywhere, just that where they won, they had lower margins and where they lost had wider margins.  The main setback came from Hyd-Kar region, BJP was expected more, it only matched Congress in that region. Otherwise, they have increased seats in all other regions.
