Like the way you totally skipped the 3rd match in that tour. Dhoni Scored 69  in 3rd match and India won by 77 runs.

 

Next Asia Cup we were in finals when Dhoni played and we crushed those minnows BD in finals

In the 90's we were owned by lot of teams in fact the tri series in 2000 in Australia was humiliating only won 1 game against Pakistan on that tour after that we lost 0-2 to South Africa at home.

This test match in banglore, the approach was pathetic when every one went in defending mode after sehwag dismissal

Apart from the Natwest series in 2002, I can't remember any multi-nation tournament final we won between 99-07.

Tendulkar did not start playing in 99.  he played from 10 years before that and had great moments on the field.

In 98 we won the last time in the finals against Zimbabwe where Sachin smashed Olanga.
