Lala Posted June 24, 2018 Posted June 24, 2018 Australia seriously in a transition period now and losing Warner and Smith has damaged them lot. 5-0 lost to England. 15 years ago it could have been 5-0 lost by England since Aussies were hard to beat at anywhere. They got much better players. Aussies have now seriously lost their mojo. Laaloo, UrmiSinhaRay and Adi_91 1 2
LORD_analyst Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 (edited) they have gone in the 'pakistani minnow' mode..... Edited June 25, 2018 by LORD_analyst Lala and Adi_91 1 1
Jamadagni Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Nothing happened. Imagine India without Kohli, that would be a huge miss for the team while Australia are without 5 of their best players. Mark this post... Australia are sure shot semi finalists for the next year's WC. All other teams are competing for only 3 slots. Warner Finch Smith Marsh Maxwell Stonis Carey Starc Cummins Hazelwood Stanlake Head, M Marsh, Counternile, Agar Tye in the bench. No reason why this team can't win the world cup! UrmiSinhaRay 1
G_B_ Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 hmm its not just cricket. Australia are in relative decline (from very high standards) in most sports. Combination of an aging anglo saxon population and immigrants not being able to fill the void Australia need to tap the asian community in their country to bolster their supply of talent. From being dominant globally they are left to be being dominant at home. UrmiSinhaRay 1
Tibarn Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 England got much better, that is part of the reason. People should look at the England teams in the 2011/2015 WC or 2013 CT, there were so many players who shouldn't have even been near an ODI side. UrmiSinhaRay 1
Moochad Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Will Warner and Smith be available for the WC? UrmiSinhaRay 1

Stuge Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Loss of certain Cricketers has really affected Australian team and its morale. UrmiSinhaRay 1

I remember Australia getting blanked 3-0 by NZ before 2007 WC and they still won the WC. The Unrealist, UrmiSinhaRay, Clarke and 1 other 1 3
MK55 Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Theyll be a completely different team with Cummins, Starc and Hazlewood/Stanlake in the playing 11. Paine needs to be replaced in ODIs and may be get back M Marsh UrmiSinhaRay 1
Zero_Unit Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Every team goes through transition at one point or not. However AUS is not as bad as you think they are. Couple of main players were missing so hence the bad performance. And this eng team is probably lifting the WC this time around so don't be surprised of the thrashing they received! UrmiSinhaRay 1
YCCC Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Erm have you been living on the moon since March? UrmiSinhaRay, The Unrealist and Switchblade 1 2
cowboysfan Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 The alarming thing for Australia is that they cant even score big on flat wickets now,leg spinners and even Ali have restricted their scoring.I dont think they would be favorites for the WC even with a full strength squad.

Khota Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Australia is not that bad but cricket in general is losing some charm there. They rather play so many other sports. Right now they are high on football. I wish India would do that too and become multi sport nation. Being best in cricket proves nothing. UrmiSinhaRay 1
