I was watching some highlights of the odi and Bhaji was pushing for Rohit to get into Test side after he scored a century yesterday. I won't put it past Kohli to push Rohit into the team. Rahane better get ready to warm the bench.

same bhajji wanted Raina to be our no.4 option , before SA series he was shouting rohit is must in test squad........fir bhi nhin seekha

Bhajji, people in the media like Vikrant Gupta & his TV Today group smoke some high quality weed while pushing their own agenda unnecessarily. Rohit did zilch in SA test tour. I remember that sports editor prophesying before SA tour that Rohit is perfectly capable of producing a knock like Azhar's 115 in Capetown, 1997. Rohit showed him his own form after a few weeks.

With Kohli it is difficult to predict what kinda team he's gonna pick, another good knock by Rohit & who knows we'd be watching him in whites in Birmingham test.

Rohit, Kuldeep have served their cases for Test series- Gavaskar

Team India is having a merry run in England at the moment. After winning the T20I series, the visitors went on to win the first ODI as well. The chief architects of the Indian dominion on the tour thus far have been Kuldeep Yadav and Rohit Sharma. Now, with the Test series coming up next, former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar feels Kuldeep and Rohit will be in the scheme of things of the selectors.

As per the recent quotes in Times of India, Sunil Gavaskar noted that Rohit’s form has been sensational. He admitted that the English Test bowling lineup boasts of big names. However, he added that Rohit bats lower down the order in Tests and hence, will not have to face the likes of James Anderson and Stuart Broad with the new ball. Gavaskar feels the selectors should make the most out of the current form of Rohit Sharma.

“Rohit Sharma’s batting has always been like a smooth super car that zooms along at great speed even when it does not appear to be doing so. He was left out of the squad for the Test against Afghanistan, but is making a strong case for a recall. Sure, it will be a different attack with Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad coming back to lead the England bowling line-up, but in Tests, Sharma will bat lower down the order and so won’t have to face them with the brand new red ball,” Sunil Gavaskar remarked.

Talking about Kuldeep Yadav, Sunil Gavaskar remarked that the youngster has created some serious ripples in the opposition camp. Gavaskar pointed out that merely the proposition of facing Kuldeep in Tests will send jitters in the English dressing room. Furthermore, he cited that Kuldeep’s wrong ‘un is very difficult to pick and it will not be easy for the English batters to pick it in the Tests as well.

“The other person who has made a strong case for himself is Kuldeep Yadav. More than the Indian batting it is how to tackle the left arm spinner that will stress the England think tank. Apart from Jos Buttler, none of the English batsman seem to have a clue which way the ball is going to turn. Kuldeep’s wrong ‘un is bowled with the back of the hand almost horizontal to the ground that makes it even harder to pick. The vertical back of the hand googly does give a slightly better indication of his intent but the horizontal one is well-nigh possible.
