For India it’s going to be pure luck that one of the specialists batsmen chips in with a 100 to help Kohli

I noticed both Kohli and DK were standing out of their crease to counter the swing, not sure why the other batsmen didn't do the same.

Bumrah should return as another positive. Batting of course has a big question mark until someone takes responsibility.

Kohli just needs support from 2 other batsmen to win this series, if rahane and rahul can support kohli consistently in the future then we'll win this series even with phateechar batting from others

Something to do with confidence and experience, if you've batted a certain way for too long it's not easy to adjust. Though I have seen Vijay, Rahane bat out of the crease, however this also reduces your response time. This is the crucial aspect, players who're confident and can get into right positions early do take that slight risk of batting outside the crease. This doesn't work for all, but if you're just defending then playing outside the crease is a better strategy IMO. This way you can also make length balls into half volley, though short balls will be more difficult to handle.

Yes, it takes some special kind of juice to lose 12-nil to Aus in Aus, IIRC it was 15-nil or something at one point including the matches in UAE, before that solitary win in 2010 England
