Add to the fact they won all 4 tosses never needed to chase in 4th innings except once where they got thrashed.

This would be the 2nd biggest reason. Score board pressure is honestly what decides games in Test cricket between 2 equivalent teams. I strongly believe India would've won both Test series' in SA and England had they managed to win a few tosses. Don't think they've been able to win a single one in 7 tests so far.

There was no need to get Hanuma Vihari when we need an opener.

Karun Nair is already there - could've called in Mayank Agarwal instead.

Vihari has been sent to serve drinks, karun nair may have refused in rudely manner Asstri may haven't digested it , requested attender , who better than a hard-working youngster,ek panth do kaaj, selectors ka naam bhi ho jayega and asstri ko ek attender bhi mil jayega

I still don't rate Ashwin as a good spinner. He only performs on dustbowls where even Sehwag used to get 2-3 wickets. Whenever we need him, goes into hiding.

But there are some who really want him to be played outside sc in every test, but its long been said and seen that he has never delivered outside when its been expected ....his batting is not dependable either, someone pointed out well here that why not play a batting allrounder here ( spinner) and play four proper fast bowlers,
