Having made a commendable comeback from the brink of a series defeat, India will look to increase their stranglehold on hosts England to draw parity when the two teams square off for the fourth Test

Prithvi Shaw has got his maiden Test call and it seems fans want him to replace out-of-form KL Rahul.

 

Rahul has played three Tests and scored merely 94 runs and that seems to be playing against him. Shaw, on the other hand, has impressed for India A in England and it seems fans feel it is the right time to get him to open.

That's a strong team. They still managed to rope-in Curran with this combination. I heard Moeen is in a fine form with the bat.

I think it's a stronger batting unit but weakened the bowling with Woakes being injured.

 

Woakes is a much better bowler than Curran and him out is a big blow to England. The latter only swings it one way (inswing) and apart from the 4 wickets in the first innings of the first game has done nothing special. He bowls slower and if played responsibly will pose little threat to the Indian batsman. In the first game most of his wickets were gifted by India. Curran albeit is a very positive batsman.

 

Moeen has actually been much better with the ball than bat this county season. Apart from the double century he's been scratchy this season with the bat and continues the same so-so form to the limited over Indian series. Considering Pope has had little to offer (I think he's a tad unlucky and looked good the few balls he was there) Moeen is a nice trade.

 

India should have a more potent bowling attack in 3 pacers and all rounders in Ashwin and Pandya. Having four quick bowlers will be vital as I expect long spells to be bowled. Spin will have little role till day 4 or 5.

Asian Games is so engrossing that I may miss the test proceedings for 1st 3 days. So much sports going on simultaneously, in fact this whole year has seen so much sporting action.

No disrespect to Rashid but any top order Indian batsmen not able to read Rashid and getting out is a serious deficiency in his skill set.

I hope the only reason they gave him wickets is to ensure he plays all the matches in the series..

The best we could hope for I think. England going in with 6 bowlers while compromising their batting strength. I hope Ash and Ishant are fit enough to run through these 7 left handers . As long as we play moeen Ali well, I think we're good.

We are doing very well at athletics,but honestly we could have done much better in other sports.Want to see India getting into the top 3 consistently withing the next decade.

Mo in great form who took 8 wickets here, in The past. I am glad injured woakes and Out of form Lolly Pope (Ollie Pope) left out.i don't think Rashid in playing XL tomorrow.
