Where did I say in this thread he should be dropped? Although I don't mind it if he is. I have only said he should be moved to the middle order if he is to be in the team still. He doesn't have an opener's technique in my opinion.

Only India fans, particularly Rahul fans, are talking about conditions which shows it's an excuse. The commentators are objective for the most part. I trust their opinion on the conditions more than fans.

Also FYI, Rahul played at 3 at Birmingham and scored 4 and 13...

I am not sure what to say. Scoring 20 or 30 is a failure.

And where did I claim that you said he should be dropped. You keep talking abt eng commentrator if condition are not tough tell me how many batsmen scored more Than 300 in this 5 match series. These same eng commentrator when get belted in India never miss an opportunity to mention rank Turner. Why would they say their home condition harsh where the toss deciding the outcome of game. Btw how many batsmen scored combined total of 300 in this series.

Even a mature guy like Pujara only started scoring after 2nd test that too when he spent a month Even before start of the series and let me tell you other than kohli no one has significant impact on batting in this series. Whether it's pujara or rahane there run hardly mattered on the outcome.  Btw cook averaged around 44 in just concluded series against Pakistan.

If you go by win-loss results, all the runs and wickets are meaningless this series except in the 3rd Test we won, so Hardik Pandya would be our MVP...

According to Sky Sports team Cook has scored a double recently but otherwise is under-performing the last 1-2 years. I don't follow English cricket, so I am just going by what the Sky Sports guys said.

The English commentators know the conditions at their home better than Indian fans(including myself) who watch their matches once every 2-3 years. None of them criticized the conditions we played in except during the 2nd test when Botham and Nasser said we were unlucky to lose the toss and that the English got the better of the conditions.

Otherwise the conditions were the same for both teams and none of the pitches were unplayable.

That's everyone who scored over 200, Rahul will probably score over 300, but again Cook, Root, and Rahul all got their top scores in this 5th match. You are free to value it however you like. I don't view it as great innings by any of the 3 as I don't value runs in dead rubbers.

Not just by run scored but by intent...you were talking abt rahane 50....as soon as kohli got out in 4th test everyone and even rahane knew he can't do shits . Even English were overly joyed as they knew match was done there. And yes Pandya was MVP on that match which we won, guy took 5 wkt in the span on 30-35 balls and won the match was definitely an MVP.

flattering to deceive.. get the same feeling as ODIs in the 90s.. we will get close, within winning distance and then collapse! Hope I am wrong, but feels like a wicket is imminent.

If these guys try to score runs quickly and get out in the process ,kohli and shastri will claim big that " they were going for their shots to chase the target and in the process lost their wkts" lol .

that's how deluded these two are and take the janta for granted
