From what I recall, in the 2011-12 tour there was more consistent seam movement available for the bowlers unlike the more recent tour. Those kind of surfaces would still be a problem.

If we get them, then yes.

It will be back to Kohli mainly ... again.

But  tackling movement will feel easier for most batters after a gruelling 5 match series in England.   The Kookabura will never move as much as the Dukes ball.

I downloaded the video and then uploaded it in my channel as unlisted for sharing :fear:

velu anna ...  our fast bowlers will dish out quick bouncers too in liberal doses.

Bumrah cracked Broad's rib with a snorter in the just concluded series ... hit Root on the chest ... hit Elgar on the head in SA which stopped play for 30 minutes ... and bowled lots of hostile bouncers in both series.

Shami has a mean skiddy bouncer.  He bowled some nasty ones in SA and to Anderson in this series.

Ishant hit Jennings on the helmet in the last test.

In the last test we played against Australia on a bouncy track in Dharamsala ... Umesh and even Bhuvi hit and intimidated Aussies with steeply rising bumpers as a part of strategy.

On the bouncy tracks in Australia ... the Aussies won't be spared by our quick bowlers either.  We are not England ... playing with medium paced swing bowlers only.

1.  Only Starc is distinctly quicker than our quicker pacers.  Bumrah and Shami are same speeds as Cummins in test matches.  Ishant and Hazelwood are same speeds.   If we include a new pacer, he maybe quite quick too.

2.  Good bouncers and hostile bowling are not dependent solely on release speeds.

We need deck hitting fast bowlers with pace, bounce and accuracy in Australia.   Umesh is not one of the best candidates.

Accuracy might be lacking but pace and bounce are there and he is mighty fit to last 5 days. But with the form siraj is in let's go with him

Our batting will do well in Australia.

We are good against pace and bounce these days ... and bad against swing and seam   (  barring Kohli  )

We are good against ghanta. Just wait and see how Starc, Cummins and Hazelwood make these idiots dance. Indian batsmen in their current form can't bat against swing, seam, pace, bounce and spin (except Kohli to some extent). Only pattas. Just wait for a few month and get back to me.

Once the quicks make their balls hurt, then Lyons will spin webs around them. With Bewda at the helm of affairs and Bubble Boy blind with arrogance, NOTHING will change. NOTHING!!!!

But did you not blame previous captain before ??? :hysterical: Double dholki

Umesh should be ignored for good, dont have any hopes with the batting though, they wont even chase 120 in Aus for they are going to face the best attack among the SENA..in bowling its high time we introduce Siraj, Aussies with their nature of cricket will surely attack him and put pressure on him and Kohli,Siraj should be prepared for this, big learning curve for a rookie
