Asia Cup: One of AFG or BD could play the final

a) scheduling is not done by BCCI. Ind had to play 2 games in 2 days as well - vs HK and Pak. Do you think BCCI would want that esp considering Ind players are breaking down? Only Pak does not play 2 games in 2 days 

 

b) In many ICC WCs, teams are assigned spots before the competition to help with trip planning esp for the fans. In your e.g SL = B1, BD = B2, AFG = unseeded. Since AFG qualifies instead of SL, AFG becomes  B1

 

Again this is not determined by BCCI. We would like to see BD do well but don’t spoil the support for it here by making unnecessary comments w/o doing proper research .... ofc, if you want to use BCCI to feel good about your team or whatever and console yourself, please feel free to blame it

AlI teams have looked vulnerable. Barring few glimpse here and there all we have seen is mediocre cricket. Dont know if its conditions or rustiness or too much cricket but any one can be in final.

Likely scenario:

• If AFG wins today, and BD beats Pak, a shootout based on NRR. Assuming that Ind beats AFG 
• If BD wins today, a shoot b/w Pak and BD for a place in the final

Both the teams got thrashed by Ind and had a close game vs AFG .... Would depend up on which team makes the least mistakes and which players have a good day

So far both PAK and BD performed similarly in this asia cup. Had real trouble with AFG. Got demolished by IND. Also demolished another team in the initial round (SL by BD and HK by PAK).

Both are more than capable of defeating each other (not IND though )
