As far as age is concerned go look at the average age of players in La Liga or Bundes league. Very few young players make it. You need lot of game experience along with talent.

odi and t20 has changed. It requires likes of Pandya, Jaddu  and so on. You can not have a player who is poor fielder. Someone like M Pandey can turn so many 2s into 1 or a six into a wicket simply by brilliant fielding. Its mot in stats, but Its overall contribution to match which makes difference in win and loss

Glad you don't care abt age. S/R is extremely important but so is scoring. Hitting a six and getting out the nest ball is notthe way.

but he hasnt even scored in t20 and neither he has a s/r....so hows is better then pant

Pant outscored him in IPL and had a better s/r to ....

 

If s/r wasnt the case their shud have been no problem with dhoni to infact his s/r went to 143 in last 2 yrs  and he has experience . So rayudu cnt even compete their with his s/r of 84. The reason Pant is bought is coz he is an imapct player.....dhoni, rayudu werent. Raina was finished yrs ago

This was the time to try another bat. Pant has great potential but he is flat right now. Raydu has been exceptional and so has been raina. Dhoni is finished.

Pant scored a 50 1 innings  ago ....hows he flat?

The only comman ground to judge all 3 was IPL and pant beat them head n square their in lesser number of games

Raydu has been a raydud. Apart from one game, he has been abysmal. You cant have a player like that with a piss poor strike rate. It doesn't matter even if he averages 100.

That s/r cnt be even justified in ODi cricket forget having a claim in t20s

Yes. Having said that one can also not deny that Iyer hasn't been given fair chance. Shaw is a special kid and would make into team sooner or later. No need to worry about him.

Talking about myself - i dnt rate iyer highly

Having said that he is rightly where he is , in A-setup and on fringes of Indian team ....he isnt even that bad 

 

I dnt seem him doing that well on international level is my ur personal opinion but he is better then most talents out their and has done well on all levels . Shaw, pant, rahul, gill are special talent but that doesnt make iyer a poor talent
