They had said the same thing for Kanwariyas earlier. It is free hand for bashing Hindus in India. Can they tell the same things to Haj/Vatican gatherings! Laanat hain.

Decent jobs ? I don't understand, do they mean formal sector ?

I actually think there would be more people on pilgrimages if the people earn more money. They can travel longer distance, eat outside more times, buy more things required for journey and so on. Like affording the haj is a priority for Muslims.

That's a really good point.

Most Indian ad agencies are infested with ROLers. So, it is only natural for these multinationals to deride heathen culture.

The deleted that tweet, but still keeping the offensive ad. How can they insinuate that Hindus  abandon their old in KumbhMela and get away with it.

2013 Kumbh Mela stampede

With estiminated 24Cr people at this Kumbh Mela, it really deserves greater appreciation and recognition. It's the biggest thing around, larger than the religious events, and even the Football WC. Great organization work and showcase of our culture, heritage, and our hospitality.

And the criticism isn't surprise, there is a term called for it "atrocity literature". Google it and Rajiv Malhotra himself has spoken a lot of about their agenda.

Boycotting HAL is fine.

But why is it being seen as an opportunity to support Patanjali by most tweets.

Makes it look dubious.

Seth Ramdev should not try to maaro mauke pe chauka.

There is no quote/association to Baba Ramdev to draw the consipiracy line. Here's the ad agency that made the movie, proud about their effort:

Interestingly, when we think of 'getting lost', the conventional thought is around children who get lost in Kumbh, since they are the ones assumed to be easily distracted.

Srinivasan shares, "The Red Label spot inverses that thinking beautifully and also, the relationship of that assumption - that is, this does feature a father and a son, but the ages are not what one usually thinks about when it comes to getting lost."

The way the film addresses human depravity, albeit for a few fleeting seconds before good sense prevails with the son, is nicely juxtaposed with the teeming crowds at Kumbh. Srinivasan does feel the product connect was a bit forced in the end, but even that squares off nicely with the father completely trusting the son and confidently ordering two cups. "It's a minor product connect nevertheless, but heart-warming too, like most of the other Swad Apnepan Ka scripts," he adds.

He explains, "The brand talks about a data-point in the end, about aged parents being left behind in Kumbh, which gives a different twist to the 'getting lost in Kumbh' theme". The "being lost" theme here, is done intentionally and not accidentally, that's the twist that Srinivasan feels makes the film interesting,

They so missed how the movie will be perceived. Are they that naive?

An estimated profit of around 1200 crore from this Kumbh if the UP Govt is to be believed.

I meant the reaction of people + Ramdev is to ..go buy Patanjali instead.

As for HAL...there is now enough evidence to show that their content is mostly  trying to show hindus in a bad light and time for them to be taken to court.
