Takes one good ball to get out. Dhawan got out on good ball today so this don't make sense at all. Without Kohli they would have anyway batted bit slow to make sure there is no quick wickets fallen.

If u have talked 5 runs already then he might not play that cross batted shot. Cricket is all about momentum.

No but he  have to take single double not play just dot dot dot after dots .I'm not saying hack rayudu & DK was out becouse of him but Dhawan out clearly by him .

He bats same way. He wins you with same method and on bad days he gets out. When it works it looks good and when it don't it's easy to blame slow strike rate.

So where are all the chest beaters who said this is the best top order in the world, better than SRT/Sehwag/GG last decade? The same happened vs SL :whack3:

Is this a Pakistani forum or what?

The guy is arguably the greatest ODI opener of all time. He is allowed to be failed once in a while.

Aur BC Rayudu ko wo chewtia shot khelne ke liye Rohit ne bola tha kya?

That shot was the reason which started the real collapse. We could easily have built up a partnership from there but Biryani didn't disappoint as expected.

We know he is one of the best ..that's not the question .but sometimes he bat so so slow that's what we here discussing..he need to rotate strike more in powerplay .

He is nowhere close to the great man! A certified test dud will never be the best LO opener ever.

His performance in last 4 years is God like. Add to that 3 double centuries.

He along with Sach is the greatest ODI opener of all time in my mind.

I agree with that but blaming him for collapse is as ignorant as it could get.

yes, it is better than them.  Their record speaks for them.  you are talking those guys did not have collapses.  they had their own bad days too.  That SL was an extremely tough conditions to bat on and ball was moving crazy.  Was a minefield in the first innings.

Bevan was a test dud but a certified ODI great. what has Test failure to do with ODIs?

Thanks to flat decks & at least 3 other factors.

You're making it sound as if those others failed regularly on flat tracks?

He could & should do better against the moving ball, his track record is really bad when it moves remember Steyn & the infamous 2013 SA tour? Until he does, he won't be in the top 3 for me.

Bevan didn't open did he, I'm talking about best all time openers. He's nowhere near the best for me, top 10 sure.

and people say openers bat too slow.  this is the reason.  if openers get out early, middle order does not know what to do.

Our openers only. Look at Eng. They are 50 in 5 overs with the loss of 1 or 2 and then the real batting begins. Our batting is finished at 4.

Hackayudud never comes good when top order fails. What is job in the team? Cant slog, cant build partnerships when top order collapses, can't field, can't take catches. All he does is play selfishly and boost up his average when we are like 160-170 for 2 in 30 overs.
