Also, today, he has replaced Khaleel.. So, TM is looking to give him confidence to build his bowling skills.. maybe they are considering him to be the fourth pacer (?) in the squad

Khaleel is replaced by Shami, not Shankar.

Then Shankar replaced Kuldeep.. In any case, he was seen as a replacement of a full time bowler..

Shankar reminds me of Paul Collingwood, someone I rate highly. Keep him in the scheme of things, he shouldn't start in the 1st XI but he will have his utility in the future.

He is a decent prospect as a batsman. His bowling is horse crap. He also seems to be someone who will get into many runouts just like biryani. If he fails with the ball he has zero utility.

Your dislike for kedar continues.

Look I don't say kedar is an all-rounder either. He is a much better bowler than Shankar. He has picked wickets at crucial juncture many times. Doesn't matter if he was a good bowler in domestics if he is actually a good part time bowler in Internationals. Shankar just rolls his arms over. No skills no brain. Runs in and bowls. Garbage at International level. Sorry....

Bullsh!t as usual.

Guess who opened this topic :

Unlike you, I am not blinded by regionalistic hate. Has been very consistent in my views regarding Shankar : Good batting prospect and not so a bowler.

For that he has to develop more variation bowling cutters etc. Right now he is a slow bowling machine.
