Dhoni not out in failed run chase - 2nd time ever

Dhoni has been not out 46 times in successful run chases

 

Yesterday was only the 2nd time he has remained not out in an unsuccessful run chase.

Yes they along with Mahi had to cover up a lot of tuktuking opening starts by you know who those days.

Dhongi was lucky that his career coincided with some of the finest ODI batsmen India has produced - SRT, Ganguly, Dravid, Yuvi, Raina, Gambhir, VK, Rohit and Dhawan (and of course the greatest of them - Rayudu). If he was playing for a weaker team, his record in chases would have been more ordinary.
