Toss will be eminent.. if india wins the toss nd bats first.. then match will be decided in first 10 overs itself.. if India losses rohit nd kohli inside first 10-15 overs to a rampaging Boult nd Ferguson then 90% match will be lost.. nd if we survive the opening spell.. then we will be victorious.. that being said kohli won't mind chasing too as the team will have prudent idea of what to score nd thereby scoring appropriately wrt to target.

Boult is twice as good as Amir in swinging conditions

Nd whenever conditions has supported Boult.. he has ran over this Indian batting lineup.. when conditions are overcast he is a bigger match winner than kane Williamson..

Conditions are overcast. Wind speed and direction will be key

Ok first thing first, it will be overcast in Manchester tomorrow and chances of rain. But Kohli must still bat first if he wins the toss. Remember against Pak he also wanted to chase. Big game...bat first and bat well.

Overcast conditions meaning Trent Boult can become deadly. He already troubled India many times and especially Rohit struggles with left arm angle with ball coming into the pads. We must play out Boult safely and then take advantage of remaining bowlers.

No throwing away wickets against Santner who always troubles India.

BBS (Bhuvi-Bumrah-Shami) must play considering overcast conditions and fresh pitch.

If possible, include Mayank Agarwaal at no.4

Rohit

Rahul

Kohli

Aggarwal

Dhoni

Pant

Pandya

Chahal

Bhuvi

Shami

Bumrah

If Boult poses a big threat, maybe it's worth considering Kohli (who has opened in IPL) and KLR opening the innings with Rohit coming at No. 3. Of the two, I reckon that VK has a tighter technique than Rohit. If Rohit falls early, I am concerned that the floodgates will open and the middle order will be exposed too soon.

However, it will depend on conditions and I'm 100% certain that TM will not juggle the batting order at this crucial stage.

Jadhav is back in all discussions however he was left out for a reason. If India do pick him he must bat at no.4 ahead of Pant and Dhoni. He is useless any lower

I think TM is going with DK, for better or worse since he was given 2 games (but batted only in one). Agree that, if Jadhav plays, he cannot bat below 4 or 5. He is quite problematic at 6 and useless at 7.
