Next odi captain: Bumrah

He is an integral part of our test team,making him our odi captain forces him to feature in almost every one dayer

He should be handled carefully, remember he is the only one who took our bowling to a new level

Let's be honest there is no other option maybe Pandya but I don't think he will command too much respect from team mates

4 years too short. Rohit should be captain and Kohli can become a beast batsman,  Pandya is not a serious guy, KLR should first get his batting right. Gill/Shaw will just get into team. Bumrah lol let the guy be the next zak.

Thats why you don't make him captain right away, you make him vice captain and give him on field responsibility with support from Rohit. Right now he is the only guy who is an automatic selection in our bowling line up for every game.

  Groom him as VC for couple of years . Going foeward post 2 yrs,  make him captain in one day in matches he playes . 

   In the last 6 months  before WC , he will be captain  unless he decides not to play some matches.

Giving captaincy to best bat or best bowler is like doing same mistake which we made with Kohli. Don’t want that

 

IMO, first requirement of captaincy is player to be able to set field.

 

Rohit as 4th best bat in side is good enough if we need 2023

Bumrah is still new to international cricket .  He is doing a fine job, as a bowler.  Let him continue.  Let's not overburden him with captaincy.  Rohit should be made the captain. Yes, he has 4 good years of cricket left in him. Till 2023.

Rohit is the 4th best bat? who are the other two before him other than Kohli. Also, as mentioned earlier many ATG captains have been the best bat/bowlers of their teams.

No we shouldn't be playing him in every onedayer if we want to build the next fast bowling crop.,yes, he will play few here and there to groom youngsters(bowlers),going forward we should stay away from playing our seniors in evry onedayer

if we are going to rotate bumrah, yes it does make it is a little hard to make him captain.

Rohit is easily in line for the next captain (provided TM has the balls to drop Kohli).

He is  street smart and knows to lead in the big stage, has been in the IPL champion team 4 times and led thrice... he has 4+ years of cricket left in him and surely the most obvious option if the TM is sacking Kohli

Rohit shud given LOI captaincy now

 

Kohli Had his chance now its time Rohit gets a chance at captaincy of LOI. For me moment of the game was Rohit telling jaddu - ur strong, on the other hand kohli was panicking in dressing room . The kind of energy kohli has in pressure situation is something u dnt need in big games. Even in Ct 2017 we lost when kohli turned negative after things not going his way. In a 100 over game things will not go ur way all the time but its the captain that team looks upto and kohli body language can create a panic in everyone. To be honest Im not shocked coz i never expected us to win Wc for one reason - i knew under kohli we aint winning a big tournament.

 

On the other hand rohit sharma looks calm n is smiling most times even in tense situation. This was evident in IPL as well hence he has IPL 4 times under him and kohli always gets a wooden spoon.

 

 

If we dont use Rohit talent of being a good leader....it wud be a huge waste

Jadeja to captain all 3 teams, left wing choice. Easy to say rohit and pujara but I like one skipper...

Thats assuming we get two good bats for 2023
