Is Kohli the biggest choker among potential "ATG" batters you've ever seen?

I think he's headed there for sure, he needs to give up on LO or test captaincy & get his mental state/batting sorted.  Smith actually had a great Ashes in part because he wasn't the captain, I'm nearly 100% sure he wouldn't have scored as many & as consistently if he was the skipper. There's literally no captain I can think of who's batting didn't deteriorate rapidly towards the end of their captaincy stint!

i firmly feel that captaincy burden especially in all formats are getting too much for him, but  I don't think he is a 'complete choker' , I mean he is not some one like Amla.

Captaincy may have something to do with it but his purple run is over in tests/ODIs. He'll be forever remembered to be a bilateral basher.

Definitely not as bad, but I remember Ganguly's stats going into a tail spin which eventually led to his ouster. Now I don't see Kohli doing as bad, but for his sake & the team's I do hope he steps down from captaincy in 2 of the 3 formats where there are potentially better alternatives!

Amongst all the stats boosting and records pile-up, I am hard pressed to list 3 innings of any significance or abiding value, even in his most endearing ODI format.

I do not think it's anything to do with captaincy though.  He has made truck loads of runs as captain. I remember in his U19 days he proclaimed Gibbs as his fav batsman, well he has taken some of SA traits too religiously.

Easily the biggest choker around ,choked in all important KO matches in WC ,choked while chasing moderate totals in the fourth innings which would have been monumental wins for India. 

Scores heavily in dead rubbers and bilaterals !

No two ways about it. 2015 WC semi, 2017 CT final and now2019 WC semis - there is enough proof. Add to them his terrible overall record in finals. Yet to have a real impact in a single ICC tournament. Too many holes in that run padding bilateral heavy record

Yeah. A quick question: Did the T20 WCs of 2014 and 2016 happen to be ICCs tournaments .. or were they private league competitions?
