Alam_dar Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 I believe that human is a carnivore by nature, and thus meat is very necessary part of human diet along with wild herbs and fruits. During several hundred thousands of years human evolution, we humans were "hunters". We were eating big quantities of meat along with wild herbs. While the present day vegetable were first consumed by humans only 10,000 years ago when for the first time we started cultivation (after the ice age). But today we have problem that the quality of meat is absolutely low with the poultry chicken, who got total unnatural diet of 100% grains. Natural diet of chicken also consists of lot of worms and flies and insects and even grasses. Similarly cattle are getting today lot of grains too, so that they get lot of weight. While natural diet of cattle is 100% grass, and nothing else. And lastly, cattle and poultry chickens are getting a lot of antibiotics , which are ultimately transferring to humans. As result, Pakistani people are feeling really sick when they eat meat. This has compelled them to leave meat and to become vegetarians.
G_B_ Posted October 6, 2019 Author Posted October 6, 2019 Ok being serious Human as things stand are omnivores. The problem i see it atm is average and consuming way too much meat. The average american consumes 100kg plus of red meat per year. Our bodies were not designed to consume so much. The UN has time and time come out and said 25kg per year is a good healthy middle ground alongside some 10kg of fish per year. Thats around 100 grams of meat or fish in a day. Alam_dar 1

BlackMamba Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 The heading is so misleading. Pakistanis are temporarily eating vegetables because meat is out of their reach. But to say that they have become vegetarians is very misleading. They will still meat if given a choice. I will not, I am a vegetarian.

Our evolutionary history shows we were mostly gatherers with occasional hunting. Meat and fruits are our original diet, with meat being an infrequent thing, fruits and nuts being a daily thing Vilander 1
