This will be terrible mistake by BJP, bowing to blackmail means in every other state allies will bully BJP sighting Shiv Sena's example even if they get less than 50% seats.

Shivaji's descendants were unable to hold power in Maharashtra after Shivaji's death and ultimately power went into hands of Peshwa's . May be history is repeating as Phadnavis is Brahmin and power will ultimately goes into his hand.

This episode shows whats wrong in our democracy and Secularism. When main opponent is BJP, Congress will not lose a single vote from minorities whatever it does, so be it alligning with SS or doing zero development.
