bowl_out Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 Chennai cricket spectators are among the best lot. Good to see them cheer for Pant... Welcome change after all the jeering that he received at some other venues. Quote No Dhoni? No problem for India, at least on Sunday. Dhoni's successor Rishabh Pant stepped up on a familiar, sluggish Chepauk pitch and raised the crowd from its stupor. He even unveiled his version of the helicopter shot and had the Chennai crowd chanting: "Pant! Pant! Pant!". His maiden ODI half-century - 71 off 69 balls - masked India's rare top-order wobble and hoisted them up to 288 for 8 https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/28303548/when-thala-dhoni-chennai-chanted-pant-pant-pant beetle, Real McCoy and nevada 1 2

Chennaiites are the most chilled out spectators in India and long may it continue. We want India to win but also appreciate the cricketing skills of the opponents. Gollum Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 (edited) Most sporting crowd in India. Now this puts @Laaloo in a real dilemma, he loves Pant and hates anything to do with . So the question is how to piss on Chepauk crowd overlooking their praise for his golden boy (at Dhoni's den )...will he work this out or sit out for the time being? Winning shot from DK https://www.thehindu.com/sport/cricket/lsquoKarthik-shouldrsquove-allowed-Sachin-to-complete-tonrsquo/article16854744.ece Quote Former cricketers reckoned that Karthik could have given more strike to Tendulkar since there were still some overs left but were not willing to be too harsh on the young keeper whose priority was to take India to victory. “Karthik’s not mature enough. He could have given more strike to Tendulkar to complete a well-deserved hundred. Karthik was too excited to finish off the game himself,” former spinner Bapu Nadkarni said. Karthik (32 not out), hit the winning runs — a four — to leave his illustrious partner stranded at an unbeaten 96 in a team total of 242 for three. Nadkarni wondered why Karthik went for a six the over before the target was achieved. “What was the need for that shot at that stage?” wondered Nadkarni, who was known for his accuracy in bowling. Too bad that aila had to wait for the 100th ton against minnow bd in a losing cause Laaloo and Rasgulla 1 1
