Naveen Patnaik has been ruling Orissa since 2000 but still he managed to defeat BJP. Unfortunately Orissa  hardly gets any coverage because it's assembly elections are held with Nation elections.

Now due this they wont have the majority in the Rajya Sabha next year so they cant pass the NRC even if they wanted to. The opposition knows this and were just instigating riots before a state election. Something will kick off before the Delhi election too.

 

Because of all this nonsense I have been advocating for state elections to be simultaneously held alongside national ones. Otherwise all political parties and the GOI is in constant election mode and cannot devote time fully to implementing policies they have the mandate for plus all the infrastructure and economic development.

This is not possible as plenty of state governments will fall before completing full term. You can have it one time but later you will have elections at different times

I saw a recent interview where Dada was asked about the rumors of him joining the BJP. No definitive yes or No but the usual, I have too many responsibilities, first I need to run BCCI type of beating around the bush bs. 
 

By his answer clearly he is joining either the BJP or a rival party 100% in the next few months.

For Delhi election, BJP needs to start doing ground work from now only. Yes they won all 7 seats in LS election but in assembly polls it will be tough to beat Kejriwal.

Not guaranteed Dada will join BJP. There was a strong rumor about BJP approaching him and the way he answered the question, it was very gooma fira ke.

 

Don't be surprised if he ends up joining Mamta didi either.

 

I remember in 2003-2004 A lot of celebrities I thought supported BJP suddenly  joined congress for eg; Govinda, Shekhar Suman etc.

 

Siddhu and Shatrughan jumped ship.

 

Never say never.
