He will be a huge addition to the Indian ODI

He need couple of triple centuries and few double centuries......only then he can go up the pecking order...

He is a such a street smart cricketer and we need one at no 6 in odi side

Remains to be seen how he does in 50 overs. He'll be a liability in the field though.
He can get the singles from ball 1 and that's very important for no 6 batsmen

Lol let him perform in 50-overs for Mumbai first. Then we can think about India 'A' and eventually national team. Don't hype a chick before he's even learnt to fly.

I still remember him owning Pakistan in the under-19 world cup. 77, 1 wicket and 4 catches. He and Sanju Samson laid into Pakistan bowling.

what I remember most from his U-19 career was the final knock vs WI. Likes of Pant, Kishan, Sundar, Anmolpreet, Arman Jaffer and Lomror (all of whom have played for Ranji, Ind A or Ind itself) struggled massively against Joseph, C. Holder and Paul. Sarfaraz at times looked as though he was playing on a diff pitch. His strokeplay has never been "classy" but he always seemed to have lots of time to play, and had an effective (although ungainly) defence as well.

He would be a very successful Test player. Still age is on his side.

has a long way to go to reach natl team. needs to churn out runs in: (a) domestics, (b) IPL, (c) Ind A (assuming he is selected).

All that could happen in one year...if he continues the purple patch...

When knocking the door doesn't work, then break the door...
That's exactly what happens, when you stitch big hundreds consistently

fat chance of it happening - in other words, quite possible given that he's quite tubby now.

Another 100 for sarfraz

batting at 133* in 165 balls

Ridiculous.

If he continues his form in 50-overs, he stands a good chance at that No. 6 slot, provided he can bowl a few overs.

Mumbai is out of Ranji but get him in the next A tour. Also if he plays impactful knocks in IPL, won't hurt to give him a chance in some of the upcoming T20s. Our 4-7 could be Iyer, Pant, Sarfaraz, Pandya

We have to keep him in the mix for Tests alongwith Vihari.  I know we have guys like Gill, Shaw, Agarwal in addition to the old timers like Rahane. But you never know when our players go out of form or pick up an injury.  The thing is guys like Iyer would probably be playing tests for some other country. We don't even talk about a guy with an average of 52.

Tests are far away from him. He was ordinary before this 3-4 games. So he doesnt jump ahead of much talented and matured guys like KL, Gill, Vihari, even Iyer.
He can be tried in LOIs at no.6 slot. Can he bowl decent off spin?
