this kyle guy is absolutely unspecial. his natural length is short of good and he just kept varying his lengths since he has done this before in the pitch and also bowls super slow. He will get absolutely massacred outside of NZ.

What makes Ishan Porel so special? Is it the calm, easy chest on action with which he jogs to the crease? Yes, but only partially.

He has the knack of picking up top order wickets although he bowls the hard length. Crucially, not just in red ball cricket, where you are expected to take wickets but in white ball cricket too.

 

He is potent with the new ball in a very rare way. Take, for example, India U19's semifinal vs Pakistan in World Cup 2018. Not a big enough occasion? Well, try the U19 WC final vs Australia instead. Note that he picks up both opener's wickets. Top order wickets are the most pricy commodity in white ball cricket, and although he bowls the hard length, he just has the knack of being very attacking.
