TWICE Chasing a wide one getting out. where have i seen. In the first test Kohli did. This one as i explained his batting outside the crease make it harder for him to negotiate shrot ball. Not everyone is good at that. He has to find a way.
Deleted_User_1 Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Kyle Jameson on. This dude has the Midas touch. Expect a wicket soon!

That is a long, long way away. 270....ho ho ha ha. In 3 inning we crossed 200 barely once and you are expecting us to cross 270 in 3rd inning of this match.
OpeningBatsman Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Kohli needs to destroy this new bie n show who's the boss
Deleted_User_1 Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Chokohli reaching out. Expect a nick soon. sandeep 1
Kothili Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Shaw is awfully lazy. Running between wickets and fielding like an old granpa. On top of that he has no backfoot game and a sitting duck for short pitch bowling. Needs to spend some time in County and also work on his stamina. Also could be dopey and hence all these problems.

Too many complaints about his technical deficiencies and wanting him to be gone.. We want new players, want TM to have patience but we dont have any. He does not look intimidated or out of place in international cricket. He will be fine in my humble opinion. No one wants him gone, but can’t be opening with such a glaring flaw. Hope he can sort this out. Age is on his side. sandeep 1

Completely wrong assessment if you have seen his entire career. He is a very strong backfoot player. If anything he is stronger on the backfoot than frontfoot.
vvvslaxman Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Only guy who doesn't have backfoot game is Virat Kohli especially through off side. Shaw has a great backfoot game through off side.

He generally pulls the ball through midwicket. He always gets that much of time. You have to consider where he stands. He is standing way outside the crease. So ball will get quicker to him. That is not his normal stance. He just has to learn to avoid these balls. Vickydev 1

So we wait for the pitch to quicken up and take wickets. left handed swing bowlers are gold in these conditions. Pathan and zaheer would take these early wickets quite often with the one coming back in
vvvslaxman Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Both Shaw and Gill are great pull shot players. First time he is playing in swinging and seaming conditions. So he made some adjustment. But it introduced other issues. He will find a way soon. For heavensake he is not facing some random pie bowlers. These are experienced NZ bowlers in NZ conditions. Cricspin 1
raki05 Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 People are overanalyzing a 20 year old who looked the most confident batsmen from our side and got out playing aggressively doesn't mean he has weakness. He plays short ball well also don't judge be nz commentary they are full on troll mode after serving green mamba. Have you ever hear them analyzing Kane Williamson batting in India where his avg is in 30s and last 2 series in just 20s. rock777, Vickydev, Norman and 2 others 4 1
vvvslaxman Posted March 1, 2020 Posted March 1, 2020 Compare Shaw with some of the stalwarts. Look how clueless Kohli was against Southee. Did not see that at all with Shaw.
