can change games in 2/3 overs ..

virus first over attack on gul ( their best bowler in the wc ) vs padosis kept them in their backfoot even when we kept losing wickets in mohali semis :hail:

( much like how gilly screwed us by attacking zakk :(( )

Don't think that inning left any impact on the match.  In fact, match was quickly even once we lost the momentum by losing wickets.

Viru was the only indian batsmen who had instilled fear in opponent even when he was not scoring just having him in team is half the battle win. He was the sole reason Pakistani started fear us remember 2004 series.

Teams like Pak usually fear such high strike batsmen .... Sehwag gave Ind a psychological leg up. Best example is the 2005 Test at B'lore where after Sehwag's wicket, Pakistan looked a different team: Scorecard

Viru was in amazing form that series! Destroyed Saqlain Mushtaq's bowling, ending his career altogether.
