Below are some of the popular ones: James Bond films directed by Terence Young: Dr. No, From Russia w/ Love, and Thunderball Man with no name films by Sergio Leone: A Fistfull of Dollars, For a few dollars more, and The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly The Godfather by Francis Ford Coppola Indiana Jones series by Spielberg Robert Langdon films by Ron Howard: Da Vinci Code, etc. Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy The Matrix by The Wachowskis John Wick films by Chad Stahelski Lord of the Rings films by Peter Jackson and so on Which one is your favorite one director film series with 3 or more films? I'll go with: Godfather series Nolan's Batman trilogy LOTR Pirates of the Caribbean (1-3)...don't judge me Spider Man (Tobey Maguire one) Hope to complete the original Mad Max trilogy soon, that may find a place on my list. Also Ip Man....I mean Wing Chun is a joke martial art form but the 1st movie was well made.

coffee_rules Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 (edited) Clint Eastwood, Flag of our fathers, and Letters from IWo Jima Amazing war films from two perspectives of the same event Martin Scorsese - Goodfellas, Casino and latest Irishman Ridley Scott: Blade Runner, Martian, Alien and Prometheus, last one was disappointing though Adrian Lyne - 9 1/2 weeks, Fatal Attraction, unfaithful Sam Mendes , although I like his other films, he directed Skyfall and Spectre John Mctiean - has great movies, but I like 2 directed Die Hard movies 1 and 3. zen Posted July 19, 2020 Author Posted July 19, 2020 (edited) The series with 3 strongest films relatively speaking from top of my mind recall - in the order when the first film in the series was released: Terence Young's Bond Sergio Leone's The Man with no name trilogy Spielberg's Indiana Jones Nolan's Batman PS for e.g. Godfather 1 & 2 are solid but unsure if its part 3 if of the same level. Should I skip 2 and 3. Not a question of time, just don't want to be disappointed like I was with Godfather-3. Are 2 and 3 necessary or just overkill? Others feel free to chip in with suggestions. coffee_rules Posted July 19, 2020 Posted July 19, 2020 I watched Matrix 1 in theatre , 2 and 3 on rent. 1 was too good on big screen. 2 and 3 were interesting and finished the story. But I read some commentary about how it is inspired by Vedanta, Gita and Vishnupurana and somebody did a comparison of it to Matrix, I realized how the ideology is similar And by first account the director and writer were influenced by that. and I watched all three again, It is an amazing series. I will google that commentary and share it. Gollum 1

Part 1 is a classic, Part 2 is more action oriented, and Part 3 is an extension trying to complete the story. I would say watch 1 & 2 and if the story still interest you, finish it off with the 3rd.
