ofcourse he was the villian , the guy who didnt even burst on scene in 2014 Wc is villian for 2014 disastor

ofcourse the guy who didnt bat in 2016 semi final is the villian despite winning us the cliff hanger that got us in semi

i tottaly agree with you pandya was the villian of 2014 n 2016 t20 Wc, he totally wasted brilliant perfomances of rahane n dhawan

Pandya would have lost the game against Bangladesh had it not been 80% Bangla batsmen brain farts and 15% Dhoni captaincy and 5% Indian fielding.  In fact he did say that he didn’t get the plan right too but you make it seem like he just ran through the Bangladesh line up Lol.

kohli should kind of retire from T 20 ( not from IPL) international matches.

T20 match has the potential to destroy your technique..folks who have built the right technique will do very well in first 12 to 14 overs but in the last 6 overs , it is a every ball slog mode..one requires big hitters like hardik pandya after 12 overs of a t 20 match. so one requires such big hitters.

Rahane did more than his part in SF. Your boy leaked more  than the hull of Titanic did.

Yea right, ben stokes had more runs to defend on a bigger ground in final then chinnaswamy but u knw the diff...its keep nerves n bowling not in slot. There wud have been no brain farts had he bowled in slot to be hit....easier said then done...look at last ball and it didnt even hit the bat ...just to gey that right in pressure is the diff . Ben stokes cudnt land one ball away from batsman zone in pressure.

Everything comes after wards but 1st u have to bowl it right....biggest of the biggest choke n ball in slot or even bowl a no ball

Which bowler didnt with the wet ball

Yes ofcourse rahane did well by making 41 in 35 balls where as opp batsman were making 50 in 25 balls..so yea pandya screwd. Didnt jaddu leak more runs btw....pandya eco was 10 and jaddu 12

Not true. Dhawan didn't even play those games against SL (2014) and WI (2016).

That's not how things work. Yes, Dhawan underperformed....yes that lead to Rahane opening...yes that mental midget was the one of the main reasons why we lost but no way can anyone say that Dhawan cost us those WCs.

That guy is one of the very few we have who actually performs to some extent under pressure in big games. Would not have done worse than hahane in both those ill-fated games.

Had he performed our points cud have been diff and we might have had a diff opposition in semi

also underperformed is not the right word, he was absolute crap

in that form he wud have been no diff infact even worse coz he wasnt even scoring runs forget s/r, to his luck he didnt play but deserve as much bashing as other

Only in ODI, not t20 ( i have highest regard for him in ODI but t20 he has been below avg)

Watch his two t20 Wc record

avg 10.57

s/r 83.14

We won every every game at the 2014 edition before the final. So, doesn't really matter.

In 2016, we actually had a favourable draw in the SF. England at Delhi would have been as difficult as Windies at Wankhede if not tougher. You may have seen how they tore apart New Zealand, the team that beat us comprehensively. Would not have made much difference if we somehow finished no.1 in the GS.

Again I agree with you, but 99/100 times, Dhawan would not have down worse than Rahane. The latter had scores of 3(8) and 40(35) (on a 220 wicket) in those two big games. Dhawan would have either got out not wasting too many balls or scores at a brisker rate. Those decisions will always stay as a blot on MSD's captaincy credentials atleast for me.

looking at his s.r do u beileve that ?  at 83 s/r surely the man is wasting tons of balls

Look at his overall s/r in t20....he waste a lot of balls .....hit or perish players s.r aint bad . Perfect xample of hit or perish job is sunil narine for KKR and look at his s/r

condition like delhi against england favours us......

Wankhade is tailor made for WI ...small ground and absolute patta

but nyways thats also if n buts

My point is just becoz he was lucky to be dropped doesnt mean he can runaway from the bashing

Don't know about 2014 but in 2016, the wickets we played were extremely difficult for run scoring.

79 allout against NZ

Barely scrapped through 120 against Pak

140 against Bangla bowlers on a 60m boundary at chinnaswamy

Even the one against Australia was slow and sticky.

Except Kohli, every other Indian batsman failed in that tournament. So not fair to single out Dhawan alone.

And when we finally got an absolute patta in that SF, they replaced him with rahane.
