Never gets bogged down under pressure like our collar chewing mental midget and is very effective within his skillset. Kuldeep has regressed a little and the likes of Rashid, Shadab are ordinary.

Chahal (and Kuldeep) had an unreal start to their careers. I remember at one point (in 2018 or so) , they were averaging 16 or something. But as soon as the novelty factor wore off ,they started having ordinary returns. 

 

OTOH, Zampa has turned it around for himself in the past one and a half year. Whenever you see him bowl, he always looks in total control and now he has stated picking wickets too (7 in 2 games this series).

Yup, he sometimes plays on Samay Raina's stream. He doesn't play so well now, lost to Samay who is around 1300 level on chess.com which is like 1100 FIDE. Maybe Chahal is out of practice cos of inactivity. Good achievement nonetheless, he must have shown real promise as a 11/12 year old. Unfortunately those days unless one was super duper talented like say Carlsen he/she needed chess coaches to go to the next level and it was an expensive affair. Sponsors come into the picture only if you get some IM/GM norms. Chahal born 10-15 years later might have opted for professional chess career over cricket with so much free online learning content.

Novelity factor wearing off will happen to everyone, teams start to comeup with a plan for u 

in 2016 n 2020 his avg is low as he played less but rest 3 years its been near n about .

 

I really like yuzi but in long run his challenges wud be

• Extra skills-  kuldeep can hold the bat , Rahul chahar will be his biggest nemsis as he is an oustanding fielder and can bat to 
• Competition from right arm leggies something that kuldeep doesnt have to worry much as of now . 

 

But he is not going anywere for next 2-3 yrs , unless he declines drastically . His thrives on batsman attacking him which is what LOI is now

Champa does the basics well. He never produces that much turn but gets his angles right always attacks the stumps. A bit turn here and a googly there, he manages to outsmart the best of the batsmen on show. Also batsmen these days are more attacking and doesn't respect the spinners that much. That is probably another reason he gets so much wickets.

Zampa bowls quick in the air. Don't give batsmen room to hit and mix googly in between.

No way near their category yet imo.

 

He is not even had a Test Debut and he is not young at all for a cricketer.  God knows   when he will start playing tests, when he will be certainty in test 11 and when he will (if at all) make him known as a good test bowler at the very least. Skill wise too he isn't there. 

 

As far white ball is concerned, Rashid is best in T20. He can contain runs as well as pick wickets in same innings. Rashid Khan is the best spinner in T20i. Anyone better than him?

 

But to be in legacy of Gupte, Chandra., Kumble , Chahal should make test debut first to begin with. It's a very big ask and he is short of time.

If only our captain wasn't dumb to have disturbed the KulCha combo back in 2018 by rotating them in order to accommodate Jadeja. Kuldeep has lost his rhythm and confidence since then.
