We are talking of deserving a National Award! But, then, It lost its value after Anil Kapoor was awarded for Pukar, Saif for Hum Tum etc

Possibly best actor in the country AA is not like other commercial heroes He is a decent enough actor, puts in full throttle as per directors wish, dances like a dream. His role in pushpa might not be a award winning one. But a good one nevertheless. Tell me, how many star heroes are ready to look like ugly dehats for roles. I can count them on fingers. Only Dhanush comes to my mind. AA did the same in Pushpa. Also ICFers seem to hate the masala cinema. The hero there has to do action, sentiment, comedy, dance and romance. It is not a small task at all.

The awards don't mean anything in terms of certifying quality

In 2 sittings. It held its moments with some honest writing, direction and acting by male lead. Like the 1970 Love Story American movie. Liked it, nothing cringe . Female lead was told not to emote and she did just that. She was not even moving her lips while talking , like a mannequin
