kruiser
He is the DC captain and almost a limited overs regular for India, To me he just does not inspire any confidence, is another mediocre player. Seems like will get out any time and cant handle pressure. Hopefully Australia will prove me wrong.. I still think Gill is a better bet than him at #4 or 5. Thoughts? Lol Gill Iyer is great guy to have at no 4 in ODIs. He was successful in NZ tour in both T20 & ODI. T20 is not is strong suit though but he still way better than Gill in T20 who can't score quickly. Forever Indian
Both Gill and Iyer are not ideal for T20s, they are more suited to ODIs with Gill also for longer format. There are other options for T20s and SKY is probably the first that should be in line. raki05, Mosher and express bowling

Cricketics
Fine if you have those thoughts about Iyer for t20, but keep those thoughts only for t20. This format has a knack of making decent prospects or good players look ugly. Iyer is still pretty good for 50 overs.
Majestic
Iyer is India's best bet at no.4 in ODI format. Gill is better at top order in powerplay overs.

He plays spin really well he shud aim for middle order Edited November 5, 2020 by Ankit_sharma03
Gollum
Iyer is a good ODI player, but no way he should start in T20Is. SK_IH

Serpico
hopefully australia doesn't choke in the t20 series like NZ earlier this year. Them choking in winnable matches and losing covered all the holes in our t20 team
kruiser
Even in ODIs , again I hope I am wrong, he seems to be riding his luck. Not confident strokeplay that I want to see from a #4. Upcoming tour will confirm either way!
