jusarrived Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Nope , it would have been worse ..set targets of 290-310 which no way Virat n co would have defended in 40, let alone 150
zen Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Good teams do well in whatever challenges they are presented with. If you need to win toss, bat first, etc., to be competitive, you should probably not be playing cricket

What I said is that good teams do well irrespective of the toss. Runs is not the only part of the equation.

All I am saying is the results are not as doom and gloom as we are making it out to be. Aussies had better conditions and obviously it was fair and square. I think the Indian bowling has been average rather than poor and so has been the batting. Fielding has been poor though.
putrevus Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Unless India scored 350 plus, Aussies with their current form would win most of the matches.Bumrah being ineffective is one major factor.

That apart with Pandya at 6, the innings will never have momentum even if we lose one early wicket . 1/10 ..1/60..1/125..2/175/..4/245..320 This is the best case scenario, if we lose more than 4 before 40th over the last 10 will be wasted . Banton 1
Straight Drive Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 We will know soon in couple of hours. Not impressive batting first. 302 is a normal nowadays and considering Aussies second string bowling attack was playing, India should have made lot more. In fact we scored more runs while chasing in two innings than batting first. Different wicket though. Let Aus bat. We will come to know whether it was good total for this ground or not.
coffee_rules Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Pitch was better today, Sydney was the worst. India batting second raked up 300+ in both ODIs, India could have won at least one of them. Not sure they would score 370+, but they coud defend 350 with scorecard pressure.
