Its not like we have a dearth of batting talent.  Its because the batting unit has been structured to target 310 or so.  By design.  Because the team wins just enough games to escape scrutiny.  If you want a team to target 350 regularly, you need the ODI openers to bat like Jason Roy - take risk, and attack the 1st powerplay.  Not eat balls to "get the eye in" and "go big".  But if you do that, then the top 3 can't get all those big centuries and the fame, and the ad money.

Where is the batting talent. Who has emerged after Kohli or Rohit. It is like Pakistanis saying we have fast bowlers who bowl superfast.  

 

Sehwag used bat  like jason roy in 2000, the reason he could do that was India could bat till number 8 and had a very strong middle order. Do we have any Sehwags in the system.

atlease he has one to show off and even won that. Also he played some clutch know on test . I am not even talking about matches won due to his bowling. Till date he is the best allrounder we have which played both the format without taking rest due to useless injuries.

You are claiming there is no "batting talent" in India?  You think the likes of Sanju Samson, KL Rahul, Agarwal are not comparable in quality to the Alex Hales, Jason Roys, Bairstows of the world?  

 

5 years of Kohli captaincy in white ball cricket. Not a single young batsman has been allowed to establish himself in the team. Manish Pandey was made to waste away on the bench, and even KL Rahul is barely in the team only because he can keep wickets.  

 

Selfish Kuptaan Wrogn has been screwing over every young batsman.   It is what it is.
