I thought pink ball tests were exciting ?

Whatta boring pitch and lackluster conditions.  I was expecting a lot of wickets to fall or scope for attacking cricket with both bat and ball  but this has been a damp squib .

Bring back proper red ball cricket.

Nothing much wrong with the test maybe just expectations

Also Ind does not have too many attacking options with the bat apart from hit or miss players like Shaw, who can be easily sent back to the pavilion, at the top of the order

sometimes conditions also force players to attack. This pitch was too bland.

May be it will get faster let’s see, so far looking like a potential dull game or one sided of Smith gets in the zone and Aussies put up a 500+ score.

Unlike in LOIs, excitement in tests is not only through runs or wkts .... it is about how you negotiate bowlers and conditions .... how you strategize to get a wkt (bowling to a plan & field placements) .... playing it session by session as conditions and a variety of other factors can change

The final session looked amazing though, loved the night ambiance with slowly emptying stands with bright lights vs all whites players.. very aesthetic. Hope we play at least one D/N match in each series

Also the lighter green color grass around pitch looked really cool, as if that area is illuminated in a spotlight. They really know how to scape their grounds to pop on screen

India was doing really well until that idiotic run out. Kohli was looking all set to carry his bat to day 2. We would have possibly been 240/4 at stumps, would definitely have played a session and half tomorrow and gotten Aus to bat around twilight with a lead of 350+.

It was a great bat ball contest on day 1. Kohli and Pujara battled really well against pace, a bit too watchful to spin, but  that was expected based on their history and style of play. Aussie seamers were brilliant. Rahane surprised with a decent knock even though he occasionally showed us again why he is weak against spin bowling.

The way Aus bowled earlier in the game, I think we are lucky to be 233-6. However  when Kohl-Rahane were batting, it felt we should be 230-4 and that will be a great day for India.I think it was an even stevens day for both the teams.

I was following the score once every 20 minutes on my phone in the middle of a meeting and still had so much fun. Test cricket is awesome, doesn't matter red, orange, or pink ball.
