So now BCCI have officially written a letter to CA asking them to move 4th test from Gabba.. Wish the team had enough confidence and pride in them to try and break the Gabba fortress instead of this bs

Why is it embrassing? Why should Indian players undergo something different from general Australian population.They are not asking to be treated as special , all they are asking is treat them same as rest of Australia.

They are crossing state borders, and both teams will have same treatment for those few days in Brisbane. These are not normal times, some of us have faced much greater difficulties than being confined in a 5 star hotel room, why can't these privileged people stop doing drama?

Thats what you are not able to understand, it is not their job to understand and follow different state's regulation. They entered Australia did hard quarantine as required by their govt and then they would like to treated as regular people. CA should have scheduled Brisbane as first test then moved to different venues.Why are people being allowed in Sydney and Melboune tests. 

 

I don't blame Indian players at all. Staying in 5 star hotel is not a big deal at all. It is still a hotel room and confinement. They are not acting as prime donnas which many people seem to imply.

Vishy Anand was stuck in a room in a random German village for 3-4 months starting March 2020, in the middle of nowhere and among strangers, at that point of time who knew when he would be back in India? His father was seriously ill and even spent time in ICU, his siblings were in different continents, his wife and 10 yo son were all alone back home. Still played the FIDE Nations Cup, first board in (online) Olympiad winning Indian team (co-champs with Russia, historic), his play was far from best because of circumstances he found himself in, huge disadvantage compared to other players, did he throw tantrums or make excuses? A 50+ yo legend after having achieved everything in his career could have easily asked AICF to * off, no questions asked.

 

No, that's not what champions do. Now he is a legend who represented his country against great odds. Look at these prima donnas, combined won't achieve 1% of what Anand did in their next 10 lifetimes but their tantrums will put Justin Bieber to shame.

Indian cricketers certainly don't need lessons from Anand. They are are absoutely right in their demand on wanting to be treated as rest of Australian population.

They are. Anyone from sydney visiting queensland has to quarantine for 14 days. Anyone from sydney hotspots are not allowed in queensland.

If there is problem than why they not move Brisbane test to another Safe venue. Whats so fuss about that .

Not at all comparable situations. Anand has his own house in a lovely little town called Bad Soden, outside Frankfurt. He bought it 15 years back and spends a few months there every year. So he wasn't really stuck in hotel rooms, as Germany did not go into strict lockdown for months. Plus he could not move from Match to May as international flights into India were suspended.

Lol....the extent to which BCCI and team management can go for Rohit Sharma. Ever since he joined, there have been controversies galore.

Would be pathetic if team BCCI chickens out. And will be worse if they get a different venue and still lose badly. All around embarrassment written on the cards for final test match.

You do realise QLD govt has imposed these unfair restrictions only after the covid breakout in Sydney and it has nothing to do with Rohit?

 

Tell me how does a last minute 15 day strict bio bubble, from 5th to 19th Jan in Sydney and Brisbane, with SCG and Gabba allowing crowds, help? Team will be in bio bubble, but on the ground, there will be crowds! Totally insane.

Why do people keep repeating 15 day bubble? We are already on 7th Jan and they won't get there until 12th Jan. They just have to stay 2 days in hotel until next match starts. 2 freaking days. Where did 15 days come from?

As demanded by the QLD govt, the stricter bio bubble and hotel quarantine started from the moment the team landed in Sydney. They are playing in front of crowds who can move freely but are themselves in a bio bubble!

They haven't demanded that at all. Even in the article it mentions two days until match starts. Their only demand is not go out of hotels and stadium when playing in Brisbane. So unless bewda made serious plans to go out during match days there shouldn't be a problem with what their govt demands
