I mean what would be restrictions if they play in QLD - that part is unknown.

At worst, the players of both teams would be confined to their rooms with maybe certain restrictions to accessing training facilities .... which should not be a big deal for a couple of days or so (when the match is on, they have to be focused on the game anyways):dontknow:

It might not be for couple of days. They could be confined for 2 weeks except for the match days. Even during match days they might not be allowed to step out of room except the playing hours.

But for that the match has to be rescheduled, which has not happened yet. Cricket Aus too is more likely to change the venue than reschedule the 4th test

And during the match days, they would be focused on the game more anyways

The initial agreement was that there would be no quarantine after the initial 14 days period. There was no need to even while moving between states. Which is what BCCI and players hade agreed to. Now they changed rules because of new cases and indians dont agree to that

what protocols have been changed? Every state appears to have its protocols which both teams have to abide

has the Brisbane test been rescheduled to Jan  25th or so? The schedule still says test begins  in 4 days after the 3rd test (so there is no news of another 14 days quarantine period)

Depending upon the pandemic threat, every state will have its certain protocols for “both” teams

The quarantine will apply during the match. So players will be confined to hotel rooms when they are not on the ground. Which was not the previous agreement, where they believed they could step out like in Melbourne

Applicable to both teams .... why is potentially staying in your room (and that too in the evening and to sleep as in the morning you would be at the stadium) a big deal (and that too when folks should be looking to support any initiatives that help battle the pandemic better)?
