Not everyone is a freak like him. In fact,I'm struggling to think of another bowler who has managed such an intense workload in recent times. Hazlewood is not. Uhm Cummins missed the last odi and the t20 too iirc.

Don't get the hype around natrajan, don't think he can bowl long spells in test cricket, people shouldn't mixed formats, he can be a good limited overs bowler but test cricket is a different beast altogether

LOL...what is this? Everyone is going down one by one. Cant blame Bumrah though...he has bowled his heart out. On the hindsight, we should have send a larger squad considering covid protocols. I have no idea why Ishant Sharma never went as we were told his fitness was better and looked to recover quicker than Rohit Sharma.

Fast bowlers are always prone to injury.You need bench strength for this reason. Let them give debut to Tyagi. Bumrah to be honest should not be playing so many matches.

But it does raise issues if general fitness. 

 

Aus are going through same series with the same set of 4 bowlers.

 

Dont know what will happen to india in places like england with 5 tests.

 

I get a feeling india only have capacity for 3 test series.

Not gonna involve jaddu as he was hit on the fingers.

Yes never a fan of 5 tests....India should not exceed 4 tests in any series.

Ash hasn't been the same physically since 2016-17 sports hernia episode. 

 

But one thing I can say with certainty, no international bowler in the world has bowled as much as Ashwin in the last 10 years or so. Too much cricket he plays unlike Lyon. 

 

Tests, ODIs, T20Is, IPL, TNPL, county, Ranji/Duleep/Deodhar/V-Hazare/Irani (for a well established international he plays lots in domestic)......

 

He carries a lot of blame for his poor fitness in general but the schedule is packed even now when he doesn't feature in white ball internationals. The chronic hernia and groin problems have made matters worse and he can't sustain his fitness/quality by the end of a 4/5 test series any more.
