If Kohli focuses less on T20 like Smith, he would be better than Smith in tests imo. Underrated aspect that needs to be looked into. Btw Kohli is more clutch than Smith in t20 KO games. Smith is better in odi ko games. Root is well root

Kohli has only performed bad in India vs Australia. He needs to fix that. He will be back with a vengeance to smash England again away from home.

I an telling you now, Kohli if he forgoes T20 like Smith and focuses very little on that format, he is easily better than Smith even. What Kohli did in South Africa in those conditions is unparalleled. Never seen a player as good as Kohli in those wicked bouncy unforgiving wickets. Kohli stood tall. Smith got wrekced by rabada in those conditions. Only edge Smith has is in swing conditions. I still believe Kohli will outperform him in India next time Aussie tour Indian that 2016 was a one off blip.

Reached semis in t20wc , group stage ct and runner up in wc. Smith greatest captain because aus played 2 icc tournaments under Smith. 2016 t20wc and 2017 ct. Under great captain Australia didn't reached semifinals in two icc tournaments. kohli 1

From what I have seen it's always the opposite. Our people love to overrate our past* greats from 90s era pariticularly Tendulkar. Kohli plays a fair bit more than Smith overall. Smith doesn't take t20 as seriously as Kohli does. I am certain Kohli can pip him if he neglects T20 the way Smith does. Anyway next series vs Australia at home will decide who is better imo. Let's see. I respect Smith and I do rate him as one of the best ever test players however I feel he was helped by playing less games in T20 and bilaterals. He was less fatigued. Anyway we shall see soon. For e.g. Pakistanis tend to pip the horn for Imran, Wasim, etc. You can be sure that in a poll, most of them would vote for a Pak player. Similarly, their mirror images in India (many even think that such forums are like devotional services for some players )
