As the title suggests, this new bread of individuals or groups we are seeing across India are truly getting to me. Its one thing to be outraged by what we saw on 26/1 but Myntra logo ?

https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/business/india-business/myntra-forced-to-revamp-logo-after-outrage/articleshow/80607986.cms

These guys are looking for reasons to get offended by in ads, jokes, tv series, aussie cricketers comment etc. With the right skillset every topic on this forum could potentially be labelled offensive towards some group.

I know its not an India only phenomenon but we need to find a cure for this soon.

Taking offence is an industry now.  It has become a nice way to garner eyeballs and get mileage for issues of scant relevance. And even blackmail.

I don't know why Myntra even agreed to change their logo. Mind boggling.

Earlier getting offended was a mainly Muslim trade craft. But now the market share of the other communities has increased significantly. Free market forces at play here :p.

Myntra targets fashion market, they better heed to their customers, who else but those into fashion won’t get offended by color combination of their logo

Its not just the choice of colours that people took offence to.

E-commerce website Myntra is set to change its logo after a Mumbai-based activist lodged a complaint with the state cyber police, alleging that the company’s signage was “insulting and offensive” towards women.

The complaint was lodged by a woman named Naaz Patel, the founder of an NGO called Avesta Foundation. She filed the complaint in December last year, demanding the removal of the logo and calling for action to be taken against the company. Patel alleged that the old logo resembled a naked woman.

Not to mention that companies cower to the loud voices of small, vocal groups.  Most people couldn't care less, so companies have nothing to worry about with them one way or another.

BTW, the "offence industry" is another American trait whose tentacles have reached everywhere. It is driven by entitled people who think that all problems are equal and complain about everything, in the process diluting the meaning of real causes.

As the famous adage goes, Dirty mind is in the eyes of the beholder. I never saw it until I read the article.  Now, I can’t unsee it , even in the new logo! :wall:

no judge involved. Complain to the company, write letter and send notices to company CEOs.  In this Post-truth , liberal, SJW, gender equality , Woke world, companies respond to these nutters on their whims. Company comes out as so facking socially aware to the sensitivity to gender issues and raise brand value. It’s a win-win!
