There are many pockets in India where Muslims are a majority and their behavior is just as bad as in any Islamic country towards minorities. So, why shouldn't the majority do everything possible to stop that Islamic behavior from spreading to other parts? What's the solution if the Hindu Right Wing believes that the Muslim population is incapable of being secular and hence the only choice is to crush them now or get crushed 3-4 generations down the line in the hands of Islamists? A very valid and very good question. I recognise this fear among the Hindu ranks. This same fear was present in Myanmar and thus Buddhists acted like that. I see this same fear in the Western societies too from the Muslim population. I am not against acting against these Evils of Islam/Muslim community. My only concern is this that these "Tactics" are going in the wrong direction, which have been used against the Muslim extremism. The better option would be if "WHOLE" society gets United against the Muslim extremism. And the response should be "measured" one and not the "wild" one, which we are seeing in the present Hindutva movement. This provides Muslim fanatics to get more and more sympathy, and in presenting them as oppressed. In present situation, Hindutva movement has itself gone towards "Fanaticism". And it is not a "uniting" force, but it has deeply divided and polarized the Indian society. Not only Muslims, but all other minorities are also fearful in one way or another from the Hindutva movement. And these extreme actions by the Hindutva movement also made it to clash badly with the Secular India. All in all, we don't have any "united" front against Muslim extremism in India, while Hindutva movement went itself so much extreme that it pushed others against it ... and this divide gives a big relief to the Muslim extremism at the end. Simple solution is this that Hindutva movement should move little towards the centre and leave it's ultra right activities. Stay within the limits of Indian laws and it must be able to attract other minorities too. Goal is to unite Indian society, and people should believe in the Police system and the judicial system for their rights. A big concern is this that Hindutva movement has gone so much stronger that it has already infiltrated the State Institutions, and they have been compromised and they are working in favour of Hindutva movement. Absolute Power corrupts the people. Absolute power corrupts the system. Reformation is very necessary to avoid the evils of absolute power. Edited March 26, 2021 by Alam_dar

I agree with most of your points but I disgaree that Hindutva movement has gone fanatic. I'll give my reasons why I think so tomorrow as I want to finish up my work and enjoy cricket today. The other minorities aren't innocent. Christian missionaries use some extremely questionable tactics in their pursuit to convert. The church is an evil entity which causes immense strife in the name of spreading the gospel. In areas where missionaries are active, it'e extremely common to see Christians destroy Temples. The only reason this doesn't get enough attention is because Muslims get the attention while Christians go about their way in a more cunning manner. As for Sikhs, the golden temple celebrated with the family of the man who planted the religious flag on the red fort in Jan 26th. Can you imagine the outcry if "Bhagwa" flag had been planted? If these people are afraid of Hindutva, then it's an extremely good thing in my opinion.

It's ok to engage with the opposite faction. Some liberal Muslims are idealistic while failing to see that subcontinent Muslims can never be secular when in majority. But, anybody who thinks Hindutva will slow down is a fool. The Hindutva movement has been extremely soft till now and some people already think it's become fanatic This is just the beginning. Hundreds of members of a hardline Islamist group attacked Hindu temples and a train in eastern Bangladesh on Sunday, police and a local journalist said, as violence spread across the country in the wake of a visit by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. At least 10 protesters were killed in clashes with police during demonstrations organised by Islamist groups against the Indian leader's visit, and violence raged on after his departure as anger swelled over the deaths. Modi arrived in Dhaka on Friday to mark the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh's nationhood, and he left on Saturday after gifting Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina some 1.2 million Covid-19 vaccine shots. The Islamist groups accuse Modi of discriminating against minority Muslims in Hindu-majority India and violence escalated rapidly during his visit. On Friday, dozens of people were injured in the densely-populated capital Dhaka as police fired tear gas and rubber bullets at protesters. Thousands of Islamist activists marched down the streets of Chittagong and Dhaka on Saturday in protest. On Sunday, activists with the Hefazat-e-Islam group attacked a train in the eastern district of Brahmanbaria, resulting in ten people being injured. "They attacked the train and damaged its engine room and almost all the coaches," one police official told Reuters, declining to be named as he was not authorised to speak to the media. “Brahmanbaria is burning. Various government offices were set on fire indiscriminately. Even the press club was attacked and many injured, including the press club president. We are in extreme fear and feeling really helpless,” Javed Rahim, a journalist in the Brahmanbaria town, told Reuters by phone. Several Hindu temples in the town were also attacked, he said. Islamist activists allegedly also set alight two buses in the western district of Rajshahi on Sunday, while hundreds of protesters clashed with police in Narayanganj, pelting them with stones, police said. Protesters used timber and sand bags to block roads, as police retaliated with rubber bullets and tear gas, leaving dozens injured in Narayanganj, just outside the capital, Dhaka. The protests sparked by Modi's visit have since flared into wider demonstrations against police killings, and the Hefazat-e-Islam enforced a nationwide strike on Sunday. "Police opened fire on our peaceful supporters," Hefazat-e-Islam’s organising secretary Azizul Haque told a rally in Chittagong on Saturday. "We will not let the blood of our brothers go in vain." Islamists accusing Modi of treating minorities in India badly while at the same time attacking Hindu temples in Bangladesh. To this day, I haven't come across a single Muslim who said that Muslims shouldn't have burnt the train resulting in the death of 59 Hindu pilgrims. They always blame the subsequent riots but none of them want to talk about the train burning. Can you imagine what'd have happened in Pakistan or Bangladesh if Hindus had burnt 59 Muslims to death? It'd have been far worse than 2002 Gujarat. chewy 1

First one in the line to emigrate their dump of countries. These people are a curse to any country. In Islamic countries, they make other communities to follow the law of the land but in non-Islamic countries, they turn around and demand the host country to cater to them. They destroy their own countries and then move abroad and try to spread the same filth in those countries without assimilating. The anarchy in any non-Muslim country is directly proportional to the % of M's. Any smart non-Muslim country (China & Myanmar) would treat Muslims the way Muslims treat non-Muslims in Islamic countries. 12 hours ago, kepler37b said: Sikhism will turn into yet an another intolerant monotheism in next 50 years, Fault of Hindus. They should have been treated the way Muslims treat them in Pakistan and Afghanistan. These people get slaughtered in those countries and then act up in India where they are treated well. Hindus still don't realize that violence and fear is more powerful than peace and love. Peace and love is seen as nothing but weakness.
EnterTheVoid Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 @PunterLog, tone down your rhetoric. Your generalisations are an embarrassment to the forum. This forum isn't an avenue for you to continue spewing bile against a community. You made your feelings clear (not that anybody cares). Keep your bigoted views to yourself. PunterLog Posted March 29, 2021 Author Posted March 29, 2021 Bangladeshi Islamists have been burning down temples and public property because Modi visited the country. Muslims in India started the Delhi riots just when US president came to India. But, we aren't supposed to question their behavior and we must simply pretend that everything is fine and jolly with Islam and Muslims. Is it a mere coincidence that Delhi riots started the day Trump came to India?
