Douglas Jardine

Hardine did more than serve as cap'n during bodyline. he withstood some ferocious bowling from martindale and constantine.

Ask most people they don't have a clue if he was a batsman , bowler , what his stats were like ..ONLY the creator of bodyline

that's true. most people are ignorant that he was actually an excellent batsman (although with a 100 conversion issue)

Do you know he was Indian ? Although most people say he is Scottish because his parents was , but he was born in India , his parents went back to England when he was 10 and for some reason he went to live for a year with his aunt here in Scotland then returned to be schooled in England . So when people say Scottish Douglas Jardine we say nothing to do with us he is Indian hahaha :--D

yes, I read about him and his indian connections. it was interesting to read - he was a complex character.

Kurtis Patterson may still have a career . He is only 27-28 and there are open spots in the Aussie batting line up. I quite like his style of play.

let's hope so. my concern is that Oz seems to favor travis head and cameron green more. I should have added "rodney redmond" instead of patterson.

Did not know who he was. Googled him. Very good entry. Career ended by contact lenses
