India will happy with 3 wickets. I don't think it's a bad wicket to bat & not one ball has misbehaved. Need one big effort next session. If we get another 70 runs, 3 wickets session, the toss effect will be negated.

Siraj has earnt his place already with that dismissal imo. Ishant's radar has been all over the place, kept trying to do too much when he should have kept it simple. Overall this is a pitch which should placate the whiners from the previous game though England got spooked playing Axar.

I wouldn’t be too worried yet, these guys literally have 3 frontline bowlers, 1 of which won’t even be Bowling a lot. Our batsmen should make merry if the pitch doesn’t change too drastically

Spinners should start from both ends. Ashwin has not even got into rhythm yet, so it won't be straightforward for England.

Correct. Thats why I said its India's session. For India have 3 wickets is a bonus.

 

England should have been 80/2 at worst at lunch.

Yes he over bowled Ishant & brought Ashwin late. Sort of how he over bowled seamers in first session of Pink ball test. Smartness is not something that we can expect from Virat.

Tbf to kohli stokes could have easily got out to siraj. He edged a couple of boundaries and almost got caught. But yes Ashwin didn't bowl enough in this session imo.
