One needed an administration geared to administer and ignore elections and moreover supress the protests/gatherings etc. It would mean risking huge # of votes and be called out as authoritarian, fascist, anti-farmer, anti-economy & anti-hindu. The first three are anyways used but it would be called out so often the courts would force govt to grant liberty to the people like they pushed for local elections. Left media already screams how govts are claiming more power on excuse of covid worldwide. Bjp/Cong haven't shown this level of fearlessness & courage in the line of duty. I disagree. Narsimha Rao and MMS were both solid leaders who had the intellect to tackle these problems.

PTI photo of PM Modi speaking in Rajya Sabha NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday made an ardent appeal to protesters to give the new farm laws a chance even as he questioned opposition parties for their sudden "U-turn" on the need for reforms in the agriculture sector. Participating in the debate in the Rajya Sabha on the motion of thanks to the President’s address, Modi renewed his offer for talks and said the door on negotiations had not been slammed shut but stood by the reforms, saying they were the need of the hour and could not be put off any longer. "It is indisputable that this is the right time to make agriculture profitable and we should not waste this opportunity. We need to progress, we cannot allow the country to slide and we need to give the reforms a chance to see whether they are beneficial or not," he said. Modi also sought to allay the worry that the reforms might spell the demise of MSP and mandis or APMCs. "MSP was there, MSP is here and MSP will remain in future," the PM said. He pointed to the provision in the Budget for APMCs and stressed that the subsidised food scheme, run with foodgrains procured by paying MSP to farmers, would continue. Astros 1

He isn't calling farmers the andolan jeevi aur parjeevi. He is saying there are some people who are seen every time there's an agitation in the country. Those people are living off those agitations. Guys like Yogendra Yadav, prashant bhushan, and several other such people. They were there in Shaheen Bagh protests. They are also indulging in farmer's protest. Many of these cases have been traced to the B.1.617.2 variant. Again, while there's need for credible research, experts do believe that the changes in the virus's spike protein allows it an easier entry to the human body by attaching itself more 'strongly' to the ACE2 receptors. Whether or not this is the reason behind children getting milder symptoms is not completely known. The reason why a number of officials worry about the third wave to be much more troublesome for children is because of the high risks they face- outdoor exposure, under-developed immune systems and most of all, the unavailability of vaccines for kids. There are a number of clinical trials being conducted across India and abroad. However, it will take time for vaccines to be fully approved for use, meaning that children will still be left in the lurk of contracting coronavirus.
