26% of India's next WTC cycle points (2021-2023) to come from this one England series

12 points for each win, so 60 out of potential 228 points for us would be from this series. So a 5-0 or 4-1 result would mean we cannot reach the finals after that. So there is a chance we get eliminated from the next WTC finals right after playing the first series

That's interesting.  Also nice to see India playing good number of Test matches.

Kiwis have a easy home summer but if Saffers get their act straight a bit they can be the dark horse in this WTC.  Rabada is back in form & Nortje is breathing fire as usual.  That series will be mouth watering.

Then they have Australia tour as well.

India's WTC hopes rest on this England tour indeed.

How much for draw & tie?

India can't take their home draw as walk in the park,NZ will fight

And Australia they will surely give a tough fight , toughest of all touring SENA members

Pakistan too hosts Australia, they will surely face Aussie wrath

NZ were lucky Aussie didn't tour SA

Australia wont let go this opportunity

is that right. its not based on series results in this edition?

Yes its based on per match and a series with more matches will yield more points

Has the points system changed?

PS yes, the point system has changed …  though the team with the best win % still advances

their batting is very fragile. We have a chance in eng n sa coz both their batting lineups are very fragile

So is ours if not worse.  SA has started to rebuild & I think apart from Bavuma their batting unit is not too bad especially when it comes to playing in SENA countries.  Pace attack is top tier.

England has a very bad batting unit but I think their solid Tail & guys like Woakes Curran Stokes makes them better than India in English conditions.

Gill is out of England tests most likely according to cricbuzz.

apni to pata nhin SA tour tak kya batting hogi, im expecting a lot of chopping n changing starting from Eng series

Easwaran to make a debut at some point I think.  Most probably at Pujara's spot at no 3.

Pujara & Rahane would be under serious pressure right from the start.  Only Captain's spot is safe & to an extent Rohit.

Kiwis got *in lucky because apparently someone thought deducting points for slow over rate after MCG was a brilliant idea :whack3:

I hope we play them for 5 tests at home & show where they really belong!

This is a **** rule. Last wtc rule was better. So now team will organize more home match and less away match. India is playing 10 away test & 9 home test.

Some of people cried when eng won 2019 wc and nz gain lot of sympathy, but same worst rule made nz wtc champion.

England were well deserved winners..  They were the best team since 2016.  NZ were lucky to reach semis after losing to Australia Pakistan England & almost lost to WI.  The fact that they met biggest Chokers of all time under Chokli in Semi made them super duper lucky.
