Deepika to meet An San.

An San just beaten Hayakawa in an insane game. 2/5 sets she scored perfect 30.

I hope she isn't the same against Deepika.

She s a monster. World champion. See her hits. She doesn’t even know how to count 8 for god sake  All 10 and 9s

I just saw the Korean beat Japan in archery …wtf did I watch she dealt only in 10 and few 9s with 2 perfect match of 10-10-10 …hoping Kumari doesn’t draw her … checked on google and guess what Kumari facing her next …fml her progress stops here …

@I6MTW Med knocked out, did you see that?

Nole-Zverev SF, should be a cracker.

Khachanov will be easy meat for Nole, PCB could pose some problems but unlikely to win.

Women's side hope Bencic takes it, her career never took off after initial promise.

Looks tough.

On paper Deepika, Bhaker, Lovlina have some chance, that's all I will say. Besides don't want to jinx anyone.

I meant not the prospects but who are in the medal round today or if they complete the event can end up with a medal? I am assuming only those 3?

Yeah just these 3.

Lovlina gets bronze if she just wins the bout today.

Bhakur still in sight of qualification to final (to be held later today), and final decides medals.

Deepika since QF, SF, F all are scheduled today.

Yes. Medvedev was exhausted from the heat cramps the day before. Also Medvedev has no answer or plan B when a player returns/retrieves his shots. Medvedev is really not that great and is overrated. His attitude was also poor. He said, PCB is a poor tennis player throughout the year, and he suddenly decides to play at 1000% against me.

The next gen are brats, and not champion material. They are the reason why Djokovic is still winning post 2018. They haven't broken through and are doing as bad as Gen Useless. Quite a weak era really.

As for medal, Zverev-Djokovic the real final. Winner takes it.

Khachanov has started to play better and last month or so, good results. He needs to summon his 2018 Paris form to stand a chance.

PCB also has a chance against both. He can frustrate Nole in rallies. He's also done decently against Zverev in the USO SF last year.

Shooters in 2016 and 2021 have choked worse than our cricketers in ICC KOs. Never expected such a dismal performance, only Saurabh made the individual final, and he carried Manu to qual2 in mixed 10m air pistol. Others couldn't even make top 8, and there were talks of 9 shooting medals for India :whack:

Manu out :((

Was never going to make it.

Shooting is a big debacle this time.

Looks like a cycle of Indian sports

Some individual or a team from a sport does well, govt allocates funds to it, Netas start getting into it, give positions of coach, head coach, trainer etc to their men, make tons of money off it, screw it totally, govt stops funding, neta goes out.

Hockey completed this cycle, Boxing went through the same, Shooting seems to be going through it.

you summed it up well but I don’t agree with Medyedev being poor part or having no answers when others attack. He had a brilliant 2018-2019 and I saw his grit throughout that time. Just  off late he has been off-color doesn’t mean he doesn’t have answers. I think he his a damn pain in the nevk kind of player for most opponents, including even Top 3. His game isn’t fun to watch though.
