Devadutt not playing first t20??

Just saw cricbuzz and he is not in probable.....I think this is not fair.....he is the best t20 batsmen in the current squad and its not fair that he is not in the team

Cricbuzz can only speculate the playing XI..  No need to get emotional for that. 

Secondly DDP is a fine talent but surely not the best T20 player in the squad...  Not by a long shot.   I'll take him over Dhawan & Pandey in T20 though.

He isn't yet a good T20 batsman. Not high SR. His best format right now is 50 overs.

Why would Dhawan drop himself lmao.... he has zero incentive. He’s trying to secure a spot for himself in the t20 wc squad. If he drops himself and plays Padikkal I’ll be the happiest person

Ideally Dhawan should not even have been in the squad, let alone be the captain. Would have ensured Paddikal getting all 6 games on the tour.

 

Not to be. Dhawan (read Kohli-Shastri) didn't even rest himself from the dead rubber. Unlikely they will give Paddikal any chance in T20Is. He, along with Kishan is an immediate threat for Dhawan and till the time Kohli is captain will find opportunities difficult to come by.

In T20s for opening spot, Rahul, Shaw and Kishan all three are better than Dhawan. Dhawan should restrict himself to ODIs only. It is also not that he has some reputation in T20s that he should continue like it maybe in ODIs.

I absolutely agree with you. But he’s the captain and is looking to secure a spot for himself, why would he not be selfish and play every game? What’s stopping him? Again, nothing would make me happier if he drops himself, believe me

+1. He stays back in the crease and just has a go at the ball, not generating enough power. No wonder his strike rate is low.
